You can ask us to delete your Joan’s Caregiver Pro account at any time. Because a Care Group is shared by an administrator and the caregivers they invite, deletion requests are handled at the Care Group level by its administrator, and individual caregiver logins can be removed by the administrator inside the app.
Remove a caregiver login (no request needed)
A Care Group administrator can deactivate or delete any caregiver login from Admin Setup → Caregivers in the app. The caregiver can no longer sign in, and their name stays only on the journal entries they previously signed.
Delete an entire Care Group and its data
- Send an email to support@joanscaregiverpro.com with the subject line Delete my Care Group.
- Send it from the administrator email address on the account, and include your Care Group ID (the ID you use on the sign-in screen) and the Care Group name.
- We will confirm the request by replying to the administrator email address before anything is deleted.
- Once confirmed, deletion is completed within 30 days. Any active subscription is cancelled at the same time.
What is deleted
- The Care Group, administrator account and all caregiver logins.
- All care recipient profiles, medication lists, allergies, daily journal entries, task timelines, observations, journal photos, signatures, GPS visit locations and messages belonging to the Care Group.
- Session and device tokens for the Care Group.
What is kept, and for how long
- Billing records. Invoices and subscription history held by our payment provider (Stripe) are kept as required for tax and accounting purposes, generally 7 years. They contain billing details only, not care records.
- Security logs. Limited server logs (for example sign-in attempts and password-reset requests) contain no care records. Entries tied to a deleted Care Group are removed when we process the deletion request.
- Backups. Deleted data may persist in our hosting provider’s routine backups for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) before those backups expire.
Before you delete
Administrators can export the Care Group’s journal reports and medication lists (PDF) from the app at any time. Exports are not possible after deletion, so please download anything you need to keep first.
Delete some data without closing the account
You do not need to delete your account to remove individual records. Journal entries, medications, allergies and care recipients can be edited or deleted inside the app by an administrator. Journal photos can be deleted inside the app by the caregiver who added them or by an administrator, and the image file is removed immediately. For anything you cannot remove yourself, email support@joanscaregiverpro.com.
